HKS Speed Limit Defencer (Type III)
New designed SLD (Speed Limiter cancel unit) for 350Z(Z33) that uses new network system "CAN Network" is released.
The first speed limiter cancellation product for Z33 in the industry.
The Z33 does not have speed signal and uses different system "CAN network system(*1)" to control car speed. It is hard to cancel speed limiter. "SLD type III" analyzes car speed information of CAN network and control speed data in the network. That is the speed limiter cancellation unit with new system.
SLD does not change any data of stock ECU. It is easy to cancel speed limit without any modification of stock ECU.
*1 CAN(Controller Area Network) network is international standardized fast and reliable communication network in a vehicle. That is a network among engine control, transmission control, meters and other devices. It controls not only car speed data but also electric devices. Therefore, harness can be simplified (Two harnesses only) and it helps all-round control.
The new system has already been used a lot for European cars and has been introduced for Japanese cars recently. It can be standard system in the near future.
